JACK: A Dog's Life
Jack Henry was born on June 20, 1996 and went to his reward on March 17, 2010
Jack lived a very full life and traveled with me all over the southeast. He accompanied me on many bank conversions and traveled as far west as Memphis where he frequently swam in the Mississippi River. He loved swimming, chasing squirrels and going through trash cans. He had many four legged friends during his life namely: Domino, Mac, Lucky, Luke, Reedy, Jake, Scooby, Annie, Chewie, Bear, Milhouse, Mayday, Sidney, Bass, Scout and Emily. He only had one enemy: Monique. I was worried about him slowing down, so in 2004 I bought him a puppy named Ike. I think Jack really thought Ike was his puppy. Jack taught Ike the ways of the world and they became inseperable. I know Ike is really missing him. In 2007 a foster dog named Harry came to live with us. Jack, Ike, and Harry became the three stooges and really enjoyed their time together in Augusta and at the cabin. I will miss Jack quite a bit. I am very thankful that Thom Wedge happened to be in Augusta when it was time to finally say goodbye. He stood by me and really made some awesome pictures of Jack's last day. Jack, Thom, my mom and myself got to spend some final moments together. It was very difficult, but I know Jack is waiting for me and passing his time chasing squirrels and going through the heavenly trash cans. I would like to thank everyone who helped dog sit and take care of Jack over the years: Alan Davis, Jeff Bechtel, Bob Showalter, Aaron Arnett, Tripp and Ben Muldrow, Brian Zufall, Kevin and Roxy Brock, Teresa and Phil Hix, the Bank of Westminster, Community Bankshares and especially Michael and Jo Davies. I also would like to thank all of the staff at Hammond Hills Animal Hospital for making his last few years happy and comfortable.
