I had an idea for an iPhone app in early 2009. Ever since I acquired my first iPhone in 2007, I thought it would a great thing if you could locate the nearest talk radio station using the iPhone's GPS. I was still traveling for work at the time and it was very annoying to try to find my favorite talk shows in different parts of the country by scanning the AM dial. I thought someone would come up with a way to do it. I finally quit waiting on someone to come up with an app for me and I decided to just do it myself. After reading some reference books on writing iPhone apps, I taught myself how to do it. My first app was called the Medved Locator and was designed to specifically locate nearby radio stations broadcasting The Michael Medved Show. Since the Medved show was my favorite, it seemed like to right place to start and I had the opportunity to show the app to Michael Medved while I was sitting in on the radio show while in Seattle. It was still under development at the time and I was not even sure I would be able to get it past the iTunes App Store approval procedures. It was approved by Apple on the first submission. I then created an app for The Rush Limbaugh Show and also a general app for locating all talk shows within a 75 mile radius of the iPhone's current location.

I have since started working on a couple of game apps targeting kids. I am also planning to create an app to compliment the LoveWorks website for both the iPhone and the iPad.

There are many great ideas when it comes to apps and I am looking forward to bringing new ones to the market in the future.
